I had never made a metal design before, but having access to a metal shop has it's advantages and when i finally had some free time I came up with a design and had Chris and the guys cut it up. It was amazingly fast, and they let me weld the stand on.
There is a price to working in such proximity with guys who are always making cool stuff on a CNC machine or welding things together. You always feel like you are missing out, that after a day if sitting on the computer - no matter how much you got done - you still don't have something physical to show for it. The good things is though, the shop is always there and I'm just wants another free moment and other design away from creating something new.
